PāNu means paleonutrition. The "paleo" here signifies "old" and not necessarily paleolithic. The PāNu approach to nutrition is grounded on clinical medicine and basic sciences disciplined by knowledge of evolutionary biology and paleoanthropology. The best evidence from multiple disciplines supports eating a pastoral (animal-based) diet rather than a grain-based agricultural one, while avoiding what I call the neolithic agents of disease - wheat, excess fructose and excess linoleic acid.

PāNu Forum > anthony colpo on insulin

I have just found this article on "insulin spikes not being bad" on the internet:
After believing that I finally know how everything works out (Gary Taubes book etc.) I am confused. Has anyone read this as well??

Another interesting site that often counterpoints Taubes is http://carbsanity.blogspot.com/

One person is rarely right on everything so it is good to keep an open mind and look at different perspectives. Some of Taubes’ claims don’t hold up well (e.g. his claim that you can’t get fatter eating just protein and fat.)

If you think you finally now how everything works (via Taubes) and want to experience some more cognitive dissonance, go check out whole health source.com. Stephen Guynet is an obesity researcher at UW and has some interesting thoughts on many PaNU relevent subjects that don't agree with Taubes or PaNU. By the way, nobody knows how it all works so don't worry about it.

Anthony knows his cholesterol material , but is way off on obesity.

He has not researched obesity well at all. My blog shows this.
